Brianna + John || Engaged

Meet Brianna and John! I’m going to preface this blog in that John’s family is one of the most special to mine that I can imagine. If you are familiar with this space of mine, I know it might seem that I’ve been saying this a lot this past wedding season. What can I say? it’s true! I feel so honored when our friends and family ask me to document their most precious memories. I’ve had the privilege to do so many times lately, and for that- I’m grateful!

Anyway, on to Brianna and John. Brianna is a geological engineer and John is an officer in the military, currently stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado after stints that have taken his service all over the world (thank you sir!). Both of them, original ‘Sconnies (which is short for “Wisconsinites” for you non, mid-westerners), have made Colorado their home and are getting married next fall in Brianna’s home town near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

They already had engagement photos set up, so our time together was a fun bonus to hang out in Colorado a bit and get to know each other in these new roles, beyond friendship. Anytime you can toss in a bunch of brewery tours (thanks Outer Range Brewing) and play a few games of cribbage, I’m all in. As an added bonus, one of my daughters lives in Colorado (and happens to be extremely good friends with the couple) so it was an amazing trip! I can’t wait to celebrate Brianna and John and their entire family in 2022!
