Nicole + Patrick || Joyful Autumn Engagement Session

Introducing Nicole and Patrick! They are getting married next fall down in the Twin Cities and were so excited to come ‘up north’ for their engagement shoot. They wanted the autumn leaves in all their splendor, and wow, did Duluth put on one final show for them before winter struck with a bang a few days later!

We Finally Meet

When I’m working with a couple I’m extremely passionate about meeting in person and us all getting to know each other….. Amazing wedding photography is a partnership, and we all must be on the same page both organizationally and creatively. The process must be as enjoyable as the end result of the photos they receive from me. I’ve learned in my years’ experience that it must be okay to agree that sometimes people don’t fit. A wedding day is a day where everything should fit perfectly, personalities must gel, and ideas come together.

With the onset of COVID and the shelter in place precautions, these first interactions have changed. Nicole and Patrick were my first couple where this entire process was done via online meetings, emails, and texts. It was sooooo great to finally meet them in person, and breathe a sigh of relief that we not only worked super well together, but had a blast in doing so! Pre-photo shoot ciders were had, and this couple was fun, silly, and energetic. Their energy shines through their engagement pictures, and I absolutely can’t wait for their big day in 2021!
