Good things come to those who wait

Yep, this is true. Anna and Tanner, like so many couples in 2020 and 2021, had to plan, replan, and live on pins and needles through the process up until their big day. I can’t convey enough how much I felt for these couples and share in their nerves right along with them. When their wedding day in October finally came, I was so happy to share in their happiness and document their journey along side them.

Anna and Tanner, as you will quickly see in their photos, are two of the most expressive people I’ve met in a long time. Quick to laugh, smile, tease each other, tear up, and just ‘express’ everything and anything they are feeing.

Their day was about a perfect autumn day as you could ever hope for in Prescott, Wisconsin with seasonably comfortable temps, a pretty sky, and abundant fall color all around them. All of this was a perfect backdrop to the host of family and friends who helped them celebrate finally becoming Mr. And Mrs.

Old Traditions – New Spin

When I’m working with a couple, I’m often asked for my thoughts on various traditions. Are they necessary? Can we change them up? Do we have to do them at all? My resounding answer is always ‘no’, this is your day, and you can do anything you dream of. Most opt for ‘versions’ of traditions and I must say, these guys did one of my favorites. Instead of allowing their guests to mindlessly ‘clink’ their glasses for them to kiss, they auctioned off their kiss to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going towards Anna’s foundation The Butterfly Path. (Check them out, they do GOOD work with mental health awareness). Their lively DJ Tony served as auctioneer, and the winning bidder paid a whopping $600 for that kiss. (PS – they made it a good one!).

Congrats Anna and Tanner! I’m so excited for you guys to finally be Mr. and Mrs. Olson! I hope you have made some time to use that Culver’s gift card!
