Julie + Nathan || MN Flower Farm Wedding

Where do I even start. I typically like to let my photos tell the story of these amazing wedding celebrations, but there were so many details that made Julie and Nathan’s celebration beyond special.

The first special thing? Julie and Nathan! They met through a popular dating app and both swiped to the right (disclaimer: a huge percentage of my couples meet this way!) and navigated their way through college, roommates (more on that in a minute), big-kid jobs, purchasing their first home, being dog parents….. In their earlier days, Nathan even lived with Julie and FOUR of her roommates. Let that digest. NATHAN LIVED WITH FIVE WOMEN at one time. I don’t know if that makes him incredibly stupid, sets him up for some kind of a medal, or just shows that he was willing to dive in and do what he needed. Most guys would high-tail it as fast as they could, but when this couple had an obstacle, they both made it work! And if you ask Nathan, I think he would agree on my original assessment of him (crazy/stupid/resourceful), but that he also learned a lot. Well-done Nate! You have a leg up on most newlyweds. 🙂

In the present day, she is a teacher and he is a project manager for a large contracting firm in the Twin Cities area and together with their family and friends had an amazing day despite the unseasonably cold, wintery-mix and windy day. I’ve said this a ba-zillion times (see almost every wedding blog I publish), we can’t control the weather. What we CAN control? Planning for bad weather, and our attitudes. Their venue, Camrose Hill Studio and Flower Farm, rose to the occasion and is just as beautiful of an indoor venue as outside (we ARE in Minnesota after all and the weather has been known to be unpredictable at times). While chilly and wet outside, their amazing florals and lighting made the day beautiful in every way possible. The party continued with amazing food by the Blue Door Pub, desert by Nothing Bundt Cakes (um, YUM??) and one of the best DJ’s I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’ve worked with a LOT, and while they are all great – Adagio and Faith were THE BOMB. The dance floor was filled to the brim all night long! She had just the right playlist to keep everyone going from the youngest guests to the seasoned veterans. What a blast! I dare you to get through these photos (especially the party) without smiling. As you can tell by everyone present, the room was filled with joy!

Julie and Nathan – I wish you nothing but non-adventurous trips to the dog park in your future! Congratulations!
