Holly + Michael || Secret Wedding in Superior, WI

So – I kick off my wedding ‘season’ tomorrow and what better way than to share a ‘secret wedding’ that happened this past summer. Meet Holly and Michael!

They had planned a destination celebration out of the country, and decided to make it official before they headed out. Thursday, July 15th was their big day!

Thursday?? Yes, and what’s cool about this day is that Holly’s parents married so many years before in the exact same church on the exact same day. The best part for me? I was at their wedding back then as I’ve known Sandy and Glen for well over half my life. I was so happy to be included in such a special celebration for their family.

Holly got ready at her parents house and her mom had a beautiful display of her wedding dress, her baptism dress, and her first communion dress all set up. So sweet! The prep was a family affair and she had her first look with her dad in the back yard. Not. A. Dry. Eye.

We moved on to the beautiful Cathedral of Christ the King where we met up with Michael and even included their miniature Goldendoodle, Hunter some photos. He was VERY happy to smile for the camera. 🙂 Who’s a good boy?

On to the ceremony and Father Andy was amazing as always, and Holly and Michael said “I do” in front of their closest family. It was incredibly special.

Ending the day was an intimate dinner at The Boat Club at Fitgers with yard games, drinks, and a view of the lake.

Since this amazing day? Holly and Michael (and their family and friends) have celebrated their nuptials AND are expanding their family in November – YAY! Congrats to you all, and I can’t wait to see Hunter as a big brother!
