Sometimes I meet my couples online. We emailed, then we chatted, then we met for lunch and beers and it was a match made in heaven. For real though: Kelsey mentioned she would be up in Duluth for a planning mission with her mom, sister, and adorable niece, Nora (You will see lots of her in the following photos). She invited me to the Pickwick for lunch and a beer (yes please) to meet everyone and talk about their plans. (yes please again).
It was obvious immediately how much fun their family was, and how comfortable we all were with each other. It’s a date! I was able to meet John earlier this spring for their engagement session and that solidified the deal! We were a match made in heaven.
I did warn her that attempting a wedding outside in October in Duluth can be risky. I felt the need to be very honest since they were coming all the way from central Iowa. It could be freezing, raining, snowing, hot, windy – or a combination of all of the above in one day. Guess what? It just about did. The combo of dark skies, snow on the colorful autumn leaves, and finally – amazing sunset were the best backdrops to their celebration! Congrats Kelsey and John! Next time you are up north, call me for beers!
