Wedding Pre-Celebration on the Vista Star

Lindsey and Clay have moved a lot over the course of their college educations and early stages of their careers. This means their circles of loved ones are sprinkled all over the country, and even across the big pond! People came from Michigan Tech, to Atlanta, Georgia and a lot of places in between, including Europe. To help kick off their wedding weekend and to give an opportunity for their guests to get to know each other, they scheduled a harbor cruise on the Vista Star. What an amazing way to introduce Lindsey’s hometown to everyone. Duluth put on her best show with warm temps, calm waters, and a pink sky at sunset. Laughter, stories, and hugs were abundant.

Wedding Day on Lake Superior

The next day, August 6th, was the official celebration day. All week the forecast was calling for a large chance of rain with cloud-filled skies. One of the points I emphasize to my couples is that we cannot control the weather – we can only control how we plan for what mother nature gives us. In this case, she decided to be kind to Lindsey and Clay and kept the rain at bay, and showed her true beauty for them

The wedding was held at Pier B and could not have been more spectacular. From the first looks location at the Sister City Park, to the roof-top ceremony, to the family photos with our famous bridge as the backdrop. It was picture perfect.
