Michelle + Randy || Vineyard Wedding

Michelle and Randy met while both living in Duluth attending UMD. Randy, a recent graduate in their engineering program, and Michelle a marketing student with one last semester left. After meeting, it didn’t take them long to decide to take the plunge and go on their first date.

As with most couples in their mid-twenties, meeting in their college town – Michelle and Randy had the usual challenges of trying to move a relationship forward with roommates, housing, internships, job changes and all of that fun stuff. After purchasing their first home together, two dogs later, Randy getting his P.E. in structural engineering, more job changes, a city change back to the Twin Cities (where he is from) Randy got down on one knee on April 7^th, 2018.

In pure Randy-fashion, he proposed on a non-special day, while doing their normal weekend activities as to not tip Michelle off on the ensuing proposal. He took a random day and made it extremely special by asking Michelle to be his wife.

Fast forward to August 17, 2019 – with the grapevines of 7 Vines Vineyard as their backdrop, and surrounded by friends and family, Michelle and Randy made their promise to each other. While their guests witnessed the traditional exchanging of vows, they shared a more intimate exchange of their personal vows before the ceremony over a glass of red wine (we WERE at a vineyard after all). Sentimental and emotional they privately expressed to each other what the other meant to them and their hopes for the future. (I wasn’t crying, I promise, sniff, sniff).

The evening went on to include toasts, dancing, wine, yard games, wine (remember, we are STILL at a vineyard) and more dancing. A highlight for me was when we were able to sneak away from the fun and take some sunset images in the vines while the sounds of their celebration went on in the distance. Side note: Get married at a vineyard! Wow, just wow!

Congrats Michelle and Randy! I wish for you both a lifetime of happiness with your puppies and know that you will have lots and lots of toasts during your married life together!
